Hi!
I have always had an affinity for all kinds of creative works, never quite satisfied with focusing on just one. I have studied and worked within traditional painting, digital illustration, photography, art history, literary fiction writing, theatrical acting and marketing – and now most recently, game development. Bringing all of those experiences to the table has only diversified the angles I can approach this new line of work.
Storytelling – and especially collaborative storytelling – is something I’ve always been interested in, but nothing I’ve tried pursuing professionally until I started studying at TGA. Working in large groups to not only make a game work on a purely technical level, but on an aesthetic and narrative level was eyeopening, and something I quickly fell in love with.
In my free time, I spend as much time as I can with my friends, my cats, and with my amateur theatre group. Most of the time, I have a few smaller creative projects going on the side, whether it being painting, writing, etc…
What originally drew me to leveldesign was the minor thesis I wrote about the architectrural design of Arkane Studio’s Dishonored back in 2021. You can read this thesis here. (in swedish!)
Also, if you want to take a look at what creative work I made besides game development, that portfolio can be found here!
Three fun facts about me!
- I didn’t start playing video games until after high school, mostly due to not having good hardware. When I got my first job and saved up for a good computer, the first game I fell headfirst into was Fallout 4. This will always mark the beginning of my love for open world games.
- I have two tuxedo cats called Donna (as in the companion from Doctor Who) and Babben (as in the swedish comedian).
- My favorite game – mostly because of its’ elaborate worldbuilding – is Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire.
